Franklin's Professional Theatre at The Factory In what was once the heart of a bustling manufacturing complex, a new life has formed. We discovered that the old boiler room building at The Factory at Franklin may have missed its calling years ago. With inherent charm, natural acoustics, exposed brick and beams, and nearly 40-foot ceilings, it's just been waiting for its time in the spotlight. Come see the exciting transformation of a boiler room into the home of Williamson County's first resident professional theater. The place? The Boiler Room Theatre. At the Factory at Franklin.

Located in Franklin, the Historic Carton Plantation is a private non-profit historic site featuring a restored antebellum home, a recreated one-acre 1847 garden, slave quarters, smokehouse, springhouse and the adjacent Confederate and family cemetery. Tours are available.

It was 1968 when Vance Ormes, a 16-year-old BGA student, thought it was time for Franklin to have its own community theatre. After becoming interested in theatre in school, he gathered with several of his parents' friends, and within a few months Pull-Tight's first production, Our Town, was off and rolling. Soon Pull-Tight found a more permanent home at an old jailhouse on Bridge Street. However, a few dinner theatre performances were held at the Holiday Inn on Highway 96. Other homes through the years have included Freedom Intermediate School, which was Franklin Junior High School at time, Page High School, and even outdoors at Carter's Court. In 1979 Pull-Tight moved into what is now the public defenders' office at 405 Main Street. It was a long, narrow space that held about 75 patrons. In 1985 we moved into our present home, complete with a late-night costume parade and a police escort down Main Street. Our current location is our favorite thus far because it is a charming old building that has served as a grocery store, a restaurant, an antique store, and other things, but mostly because it provides an intimate setting for a great performance.

ACT 1 (Artists' Cooperative Theatre) is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing theatrical gems - both classic and modern - to Nashville audiences. Now in its eighteenth season, ACT 1 has presented productions of more than 90 of the world's greatest plays. ACT 1 continually receives high praise from critics and audience members alike, and its productions and performers are recipients of multiple prizes and awards. Belle Meade Plantation is a 30 acre historic site 6 miles west of Nashville.

The Acklens built, furnished, and landscaped one of the most elaborate antebellum homes in the South, with 36 rooms and 19,000 sq. ft. The estate contained an art gallery, conservatories, lavish gardens, aviary, lake and zoo.

The mission of Olde Worlde Theatre Company is to generate amusing and reflective theatre for people of all ages. Since being founded in February 2003 we have been supported by the Nashville TN area for many productions. In partnership with parents, we strive to reinforce positive values and responsible choices for children.

Steeple Players is a 501(c)3 non-profit community theatre located in City Square Shopping Center in Hendersonville Tennessee. We have presented family-oriented theatre to the local and surrounding communities for over a decade.

TPAC is located in the James K. Polk Cultural Center at 505 Deaderick Street in downtown Nashville, occupying an entire city block between 5th and 6th Avenues and Deaderick and Union Streets. Also housing the Tennessee State Museum, the cultural center adjoins the 18 story James K. Polk Office Tower.
